Off-Road Safety Beacon
This project introduces a Seatbelt-Activated Emergency Beacon (SEB), a compact safety device designed for high risk off-road environments, such as trophy truck racing and remote overlanding. The beacon is securely attached to the vehicle’s seat belt system via velcro, and functions as an automated alert system in the event of a rollover or severe impact.
Off-road racing often occurs in rugged, isolated areas where communication can be limited and accidents like rollovers are common. This device aims to bridge the gap between emergency response time and the moment of a crash. Once a rollover is detected, the beacon automatically activates an SOS signal and visual alerts to the team, helping locate the driver even in low-visibility conditions.
